Program Description:
Using a Powerpoint presentation on my laptop computer, I describe the digital tools and process I used when working. I’ll show the sketch phase of the creative process with an explanation of how I came up with the concepts. Then I will discuss how the images in the sketch phase developed to the final illustrations.

For younger children, I can read the story and go in a bit more detail on how I decided what to draw to illustrate the words on that page. For older children or adults, I can focus more on the digital illustration process and demonstrate how I work in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, using a digitizing tablet as my art board. If there is enough time, we can include a class participation project on illustrating a poem or short story.
